Canadian house producers, Nick Holder and Kaje, have carved out some great deep house sounds over the years, with Nick Holder especially turning out some legendary tunes like ‘Summer Daze’, ‘Da Sambafrique’ and ‘Erotic Illusions’. Holder and Kaje (AKA Kevin Johnson) have collaborated on many previous projects, including Holder’s underground classic ‘No More Dating DJs’ from 2003. The duo have released a few 12�s on Holder’s DNH label, including the string laden ‘Our Music’, and have also recently remixed for Quentin Harris & Robert Owens on the Canadian ‘Home Recordings’ label.
On the 10� white vinyl album sampler, ‘My Love’ explores a heavy string and bouncing bass workout, and is already being picked up on by DJs of the more soulful persuasion, whilst ‘Amor Por Ti’ on the flip is an ace latin-fuelled deep number with a cool sax riff and lounge vibe.
