Nick Holder follows up his last two big singles (“No More Dating DJs and “On My Mind) with some underground remixes of two hi-lights from his genre busting album, “The Other Side. Man of the moment, Solid Groove, gets to grips with Nick Holder’s cheeky ‘Bad Girl’ cut whilst Freaks lay down two twisted versions of ‘My Friendly Neighbour’.
Solid Groove AKA Dave Taylor is on fire right now, and his remix of “Bad Girl just shows why. His Switch project has resulted in one of last years biggest underground records “Get Ya Dub On as well as a Radio 1 Essential Mix, and remixes for Audio Bullies, Futureshock and Chemical Brothers. As Solid Groove, he’s just had released a belter of a remix of Roy Davis Jnr’s “About Love on Classic and has a string of releases on Slip ‘n’ Slide and Front Room.
London electronic house stalwarts, Freaks, provide 2 remixes in their own quirky and inimitable style. Freaks have recorded banks of work for their Music For Freaks label and have also cropped up on DJ Hell’s Gigilo label. Their remixography is vast, and includes work for artists like The Streets, DJ Sneak, Hardfloor, Blaze, Steve Bug, Derrick Carter, Losoul, Alison Limerick and many more.
