‘Feel It’ has already created a stir amongst deep house fans with an inclusion on the very popular NRK/DJ Mag covermount CD (mixed by Mazi). A rock solid hypnotic house cut, heavy on the drums & bumpin’ bass, Miguel pushes the dub elements in, but this time with a more robotic swing to the proceedings. Two mixes here that both rock the sound system with ease.
‘Laptop Excursion’ is a great slice of melodic deep house, with a sweet reggae vocal gliding over the vibesy production. Created on a laptop in an airport lounge, don’t be put off by the simplicity of such a track. ‘Laptop’ is a classic piece of sun-drenched house music from one of the masters.
Miguel has just released his debut artist album for Virgin, ‘Colourful You’, which has been receiving major props from all quarters.
